Banner Blog Hop

I am so excited to be apart of the Banner Blog Hop...
Everyone in the hop has created a banner for either
Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Years.
This is the first banner that I ever made with my Cricut.
I love how it turned out...
I love Thanksgiving! I love that my family is able to gather together around the dinner table and that we are able to have a real big traditional Turkey Dinner. This is a real feat because part of my kitchen and my dining room is my crafting area.  So you can imagine what I have to go through to get everything cleaned up and organized for the holiday.

So my banner spells out FAMILY...

The acorns were cut from the Doodlecharms cart at 7".  The base of the acorn is chipboard and I also used two tones of rustic brown card stock. I alternated the colors top and bottom on each acorn. I embossed the top part of the acorns with the "Spots and Dots" Cuttlebug embossing folder, for a little texture.
The leaves where cut from the Doodlecharms cart at 2 1/2". The letters and Shadows were cut from Plantin School Book, they were cut at 4".
All this was glue down using my Sticker Maker by Xyron.

I added buttons on top of the leaves to accent the acorns.
Are they not the cutest acorns you ever did see?

Okay now for the some fun! I am giving away a...

Very nice banner. Our tradition at Thanksgiving is that after we say the blessing we go around the table and say what we are &/or were thankful for during that past year before we eat our wonderful Thanksgiving dinner. :-)

I just love your banner so much...thank you for sharing it on this wonderful blog hop :)
Our family Thanksgiving tradition is to put up the tree and decorate so after dinner we can turn on the lights and enjoy it. I don't have any of the other decorations up by then, but we love getting the tree up.

OH WOW this was so wonderful, so creative! I love the embossing, and the alternate colors! Also what an amazing give-a-way!!

My favorite Thanksgiving tradition, besides being together with all of my amazing family, would have to be our Turkey Day pool tourney, I know it sounds silly but it is so much fun! At the end we win whatever the prize and/or pot of money may be. Its a riot!

Wow your banner turned out great. My favorite time at Thanksgiving is that everyone sits down and eats together and watching the conversation between everyone which is a rarity these days.

Theresa,

I love that your banner spells out "family"!!! :) That is my favorite Thanksgiving tradition: spending time with family (saying grace, sharing a great meal, followed by a walk and game of Trivial Pursuit while we snack on hot turkey sandwiches).

Thank you so much for sharing and for the chance to win (what a fantastic prize!),
