This Birthday Bash is all about celebrating and planning for
anyone special birthday event...
So I really wanted to do a banner for Alex's Birthday one
she could hang in her scrap area to remember
this very special day...
I also like to push myself to try things
I haven't done a lot of before.
So this is my first birthday banner...
but most likely will not be my last.
I really enjoyed making it .
So I cut this one out for Alex and used all the
Post~it Adhesive back papers...
{really like this paper for project like this}
The banner base was cut from
Once Upon a Princess
Lettering was from Plantin School Book
The paper was open stock paper with a lot of
Polka Dots which I really like for birthday themes...
I inked around the edges with a soft green and used my royal
White Gel Pen to stitch around the edges of the lavender cuts.
The Hot Pink and Lime Green make for really popular
birthday color themes .You could easily tie all this
in with matching party accessories
They have a lot of cuteness in that cart...
and some awesome birthday cuts for invites and
theme related parties...
I also doodle around all of the cuts to make them pop.
The cute cupcake can also be used for name plates
or put on a card for a person birthday ...
I doodle the frosting {just too cute}

My 30th was very special. My dh planned a surprise party for me, and family traveled from two states to be there. It was so wonderful to see everyone, and it meant so much to me that my dh had planned it all on his own!

I don't remember anything special. But on my sixteenth birthday I remember it clearly. My Grandpa had a buckboard and it was pulled by a 30 year old Horse named Midnight. Also had an old mule named old Blue. He was driving it home from town and an little red sports car came around a curve into the bright sun and he didn't see my grandpa. I bruised the horse hip but the old mule was ok. That horse lived a long time after that too and so did that old mule. But on to the story. My grandpa was something else here this guy destroyed his transportation (wagon was in pieces) and injured his horse. He pulled a knife and tried to chase him down. But the county sheriff was a family friend and got there soon and calmed him down. The guy was scared and didn't come out of hiding till they took my grandpa to hospital to check him out. He was ok. That is the birthday i remember well. I saw it all. Thanks for sharing and chance to win. Also you did a really great job on your Banner.

I love the shape of the banner. I am going to make one for our Super Bowl Party. Of course it will be a Steeler's theme. My husband surprised me with a weekend to Steeler Land. One of the many things we did was to eat at my all time Steeler's Restaurant. It was an awesome birthday weekend.

One of the most memorable birthdays was my 30th. I worked with all guys back then. It was a crew of 50 men and me. They decided to take my out for lunch at a local pizza pub. They surprised me with a stripper. Terribly embarassing on my part but the guys enjoyed it. After the stripper thou we all had great fun.

Great project, nice details. My favorite BD was the year my daughter decided to make me a cake in the microwave ( anyone remember snakin cakes) she was not much into reading directions back then, the cake was like rubber but I ate it any way. We still have a good laugh at that one.

Could've use the cricut for my favorite birthday... if cricuts would've been around! Mine was my 30th that my husband went all out on the Over the Hill them. Complete with coffin he built and a fake cadaver on a table for a gross stick your hand in the stomach game (the stomach was filled with spaghetti, jello, mashed bananas... all sorts of gross stuff)
Ugh! I was in the hospital this past b-day. Sincke my bday is 12/30, we always celebrate it on 12/31...NYE! Every year is a celebration! I never thought I'd survive my teen years. lol.

That banner is just so cute! I may try one of those on my daughter's Birthday.
The Birthday that stands out most is the year my Grandma turned 90 and I turned 33. Our Birthdays are 3 days apart. We shared a big party with my Aunt and cousins and extended family all together. That was probably the best one.

I am already one of your faithful followers. I really do enjoy your blog. My family tend to make all of my birthdays special. I guess one that really sticks out in my mind though would be the one we spent in the mission field in Guam. What an experience. No family there but we used Skype to celebrate together.

I am so glad I finally got to meet you! I can't believe I had to go all the way to Murietta to do it since you only live a couple minutes away...LOL! Anyway, I'm glad we met! Thank you for the little box of sweethearts. I ate both yours and Ruthie's little gifts on the way home Saturday!

My most special birthday was one in my late twenties when my boyfriend (now my husband of 10 years) surprised me at work with a new, velvet dress with matching shoes! He had me change & then took me to a fancy dinner and to see Phantom of the Opera! I felt like a fairy princess...

Fantastic banner. My special birthday was last year, I wasn't able to eat much of anything because I was having my gallbladder taken out two weeks after my birthday. My husband knew I was really bummed so he threw me a party with some of my friend I hadn't seen in a while and had food that I could eat. It was so sweet.

OMG, I HAVE been wanting this pink atg glue runner for so long and I would love the chance to win it so here is my favorite birthday and it was just this past november and I had been asking my husband for the cricut imagine for a month and he made it clear it was too expensive and we could not afford it so I gave up and on the morning of my birthday i went into my craft room to work and sitting on my table was the imagine and I screamed and cried at the same time and woke my husband up and on the machine was a big sign saying happy birthday. I never imagined he was buying this for me especially since he never spends that kind of money on a birthday present. he said it was my birthday and christmas present for the next five years.
